Mrs. Janet Sue Lee, age 59 of Summerville, passed away suddenly Sunday, April 1, 2018 at her residence following an extended illness. Mr. James Alfred “Shorty” Turner, age 92, of Summerville, GA, died Monday, April 2, 2018, in Cartersville, GA. Mr. Turner was born October 28, 1925, in Aragon, GA, son of the late Melvin and Cleo Turner. He was Church of God by faith, and prior to his retirement, was employed with Bigelow-Sanford. Graveside and interment services for Mr. Turner will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 4, 2018, from Summerville Cemetery with Rev. Kevin J. Norton officiating. Mr. Turner will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour Wednesday. Mr. James “Harold” Duke, age 82 of Summerville, GA passed away Friday- March 30, 2018 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. He was born in 1935 in Hamilton, Alabama and was retired from Redmond Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Subligna Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday- April 2, 2018 at Subligna Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Bishop and Rev. Ken Jennings officiating. Interment will follow at Subligna Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Nathan Duke, Chris Burkhalter, Kyle Duke, Kevin Espy, B.J. Gamble, and Rickey Campbell. James Boyd Lee, age 52, of Teloga, Ga. passed away Thursday March 29, 2018 in a local hospital. James was born November 22, 1965 in Walker County, a son of the late George Boyd Lee and Etta Lucille Adams Lee. He was a member of Teloga Baptist Church, and worked at Regal Manufacturing Company, where he was a member of the Soft Ball Team. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday March 31, 2018, at Mason Funeral Home Chapel, in Summerville, with David White, and Andy Tudor, officiating. Interment will follow in Little John Cemetery, in Walker County. She was born in Summerville in 1928 and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and was retired from Best Manufacturing. Mr. Jimmy Farrell Treadaway, age 74 of Trion, Georgia passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center. He was born in Lafayette in 1943 and was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Treadaway will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour. Funeral Services for Mr. Treadaway will be held Friday, March 30, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Dietz officiating. Mrs. Betty Kellett Bush, age 91 of Summerville, passed away on Monday, March 26. She was born in 1927 in Chattooga County and was a longtime member of South Summerville Baptist Church. She also served on the Summerville City Council. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 30th at noon at the Summerville Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Bryant officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 10:3o AM until 11:45 AM at Earl Rainwater Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Gideons International at PO Box 648, Summerville.
