Mr. George "Butch" Rogers Mallonee, age 62 of Lyerly, passed away Tuesday, April 15th from injuries received in an automobile accident…Mr. Mallonee was born in Franklin, NC on April 8th , 1946, son of the late William George Mallonee and  Edith Mae Anderson Mallonee…He was a carpenter by trade and was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Mallonee Fowler…Mr. Mallonee is survived by his wife, Darlene Norton Mallonee of Lyerly, a son William Mallonee of Franklin, NC, Daughters , April Tyree of Marietta and Barbara Hodge of Ladson, SC, Sister, Jane Teasley of Blue Ridge, GA. and Six Grandchildren…Memorial Services for Mr. Mallonee will be held Saturday, April 19th, in Franklin, NC with Pastor Kevin Hurt officiating….The family will receive friends Thursday and Friday at the residence, 110 Williams St. Lyerly….Mason Funeral Home is in Charge of the arrangements

MR. ALTON R. (BUCK) HARRIS, AGE 74 OF LAFAYETTE, GEORGIA PASSED AWAY ON MONDAY AT A LAFAYETTE HEALTH CARE CENTER.  HE WAS BORN IN CHATTOOGA COUNTY ON FEBRUARY 6, 1934 AND WAS RETIRED FROM MT. VERNON MILLS.  SURVIVING ARE SON & DAUGHTER – IN – LAW CHRIS AND CHRISTY HARRIS OF SUMMERVILLE.  FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS ARE INCOMPLETE AND WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER BY EARL RAINWATER FUNERAL HOME IN SUMMERVILLE
