Mrs. Dona Pauline Stewart Dunn age 77, of Summerville, GA passed away Tuesday- December 1, 2020 at Floyd Medical center.
Mrs. Patricia Ann “Pat” Verdin, age 72, of Hammond, LA (formerly of Douglasville, GA), died Saturday, November 28, 2020, at her residence.
Mrs. Verdin was born February 28, 1948, in Jamestown, AL, daughter of the late Howard A. Nicholson and Maudi Teems Watson. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Ryder Trucking as a billing specialist.
Mrs. Verdin was preceded in death by a son, Donald Stancil; a daughter, Lisa Stancil; father, Howard Nicholson; mother and step-father, Maudi and Ollie Watson; brother, Leroy Nicholson; sisters, Charlotte Hegwood and Dorothy Hilyer.
Survivors include her husband, Louis Verdin; sons, Stanley (Annette) Stancil, Wayne (Shirley) Stancil; step-children, Maria (Craig) Kieff, Tommy (Deborah) Verdin, Judith (Holly) Verdin; sisters, Evelyn Jennings and Ellen Ray; special friend of the family, Suzanne Dunn; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Graveside services for Mrs. Verdin will be held at 12:00 Noon (E.S.T.) Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at Union Hill “Needmore” Cemetery with Bro. Freddy Waldrop officiating. Pallbearers will be Travis Stancil, Ryan Jackson, Logan Jackson, Nicholas Curren, Daniel Jackson, and Chandler Wheeler.
Visitation will be held privately for the family.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).

MRS. DEBORAH MATON BRYANT, age 56, of Glenn Drive, Summerville, Georgia, passed away Friday, November 27, 2020, in a Rome hospital. She was born in Rome, Georgia on January 5, 1964, a daughter of the late Paul Leonard Maton and Annie Sue Touchstone Maton Matthews, who survives. Mrs. Bryant was Baptist by Faith.
