MR. JOHNNY RICHARD WATKINS, JR. – AGE 72 – Of Summerville, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020. He was born on February 28, 1948 in Summerville, Georgia to the late Johnny Richard Watkins, Sr. and Kathryn Black Watkins. He was preceded by his sister, Kathryn Theresa Watkins. Richard was a member of the West 5th Street Church of Christ.

Survivors are his loving brother, James (Freda) Watkins; four children, two sons, Jason (Kerinia) Watkins, Johnny Richard (Anna) Watkins, III; two daughters, Janel Watkins, and Laura Watkins; grandchildren; aunts, Eva Byron, Annie Black; nieces, nephews, a host of cousins, other relatives, church family, and friends.

Graveside Service and Interment will be on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 2:00 P. M. at the Summerville Cemetery with Brother John Lewis and other Ministers officiating. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.

Mr. William Randall “Randy” Finster, Obit (C)

Mr. William Randall “Randy” Finster, age 54 of Summerville, Georgia passed away suddenly Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Finster was born in Rome, Georgia on July 17, 1966 son of Roy Eugene Finster and the late Gloria Jean Farmer Pickle.  He was a member of the Berryton Baptist Church and prior to retirement, was employed with Mohawk Industries.  In addition to his mother, Mr. Finster was preceded in death by his stepfather, Frank Pickle; grandparents, Howard and Pauline Finster; anda grandmother, Fanny Farmer.

Mr. Finster is survived by his son, Dakota Finster; step-daughter, Jessica Phillips; father and step-mother, Roy Eugene and Sharon Finster; brothers and sister-in-law, Frankie and Christina Pickle and Michael Finster; grandchildren, Callen Phillips and Myra Phillips, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Finster will be held Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Mickey Skates officiating.  Interment will follow in the Silver Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Frankie Pickle, Jeff Phillips, Brian Dover, Eddie Wilson, Tommy Wilson, Chuck Cox and Adam Jenkins.

Mr. Finster will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 until the hour of service.

The family of Mr. Finster, as well as the staff of Coffman Funeral Home, advise anyone that plans to attend the services for Mr. Finster, to please follow the CDC recommendations as it pertains to Social distancing and social gatherings.  Facemasks are not required, but are recommended.
