He was born in Lyerly, Chattooga County, Georgia on July 27, 1937 to the late parents, John Leonard Evans and Lelia Finley Evans. He was preceded by his daughter, Angelita Evans, brother, O’Neal Evans. He was retired from Roper Industry.
