Ms. Sarah Jo McWhorter Eller, age 73, of Summerville, GA died Monday, October 27, 2014 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

 Ms. Eller was born March 3, 1941 in Trion, GA, the daughter of the late Paul Arthur McWhorter and Dorothy Mae Manns McWhorter.  Mrs. Eller was retired from Herman Miller Company.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Walter J. Campbell; step-mother, Nellie Stinett McWhorter; and a brother, Jimmy Campbell.

Survivors include a son, Barry C. Barosay; daughter and husband, Charlenne “Tina” and Edward “Bo” Allmon; brother and sister-in-law, Michael Paul and Kathy McWhorter; sisters, Paula Jean Marks, Jackie Campbell, and Eydie Mae Rowland; 6 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews; special friends, Linda Howard, Ruth Guest, Janie Fowler; and an aunt, Elise Elrod.

 Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p. m. Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Kelly officiating.  Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Barry Barosay, Adam McGuire, Allen Elrod, Jimmy L. Hardin, and Neal Shropshire.

 Ms. Eller will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p. m. Tuesday.

Wanda F. Crowe, 68, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, October 25, 2014 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend John Burnette and Reverend Robert "Bob" Gober officiating.  Interment will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday in Pennville Alliance Church Cemetery in Summerville, GA.  The family will receive friends Monday, October 27, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 P. M. at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907.

Ms. Crowe was born November 13, 1945 in Tuscaloosa, AL, daughter of Margaret Shigley Crowe of Marietta, GA and the late Charles Crowe.  She retired as a purchasing clerk with Columbus State University.  She was a member of Hilton Terrace Baptist Church.  She was devoted to her family and friends and dedicated her life to helping others.

Survivors include her daughter, Kim Haymans of Fortson,GA; mother, Margaret S. Crowe of Marietta, GA; sisters, Evangeline Gober (Bob) of Connelly Springs, NC, Charlotte Chambers (Bob) of Marietta, GA, and Marie Noah (Jack) of Rome, GA;  brother, David Crowe (Nancy) of California; grandson, Trey Haymans of Columbus, GA; great granddaughter, Emily Haymans of Phenix City, AL; former spouse, Jimmy Whitfield of Columbus, GA and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 233 12th Street #710, Columbus, GA 31901 or Serenity Hospice, 2901 Warm Springs Rd., Columbus, GA 31904.

     Mr. Clarence Robert Sweatman, age 78 of Oak Hill Drive,
Trion, GA passed away October 22, 2014 in Redmond Regional
Medical Center. Mr Sweatman was born January 4, 1936 in Trion,
GA.   Mr. Sweatman was a member of the Saint Barnabas Episcopal
Church. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and retired
after serving our country for 23 ½ years. He was also retired from
the USPS as a postal clerk. Mr. Sweatman enjoyed metal detecting,
fishing, watching Braves baseball. He was a great guy, best
grandfather in the world. He enjoyed cooking breakfast for
the grandchildren and was the father of the family and looked after
all of his brothers and their families.
    Mr. Sweatman was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Leroy
Sweatman and Ella Juanita Roberts Sweatman; brothers, Orville
Lee “Shorty” Sweatman, Hugh Max Sweatman, Jerry Lamar
Sweatman, and Harold Sweatman.
    Mr. Sweatman is survived by his wife, Muriel Sweatman; daughters,
Hope Sweatman Welch and Dawn Sweatman (Gregory Allen) Clark;
grandchildren, Shaina Hope Clark, Hunter Steven Clark, Tristan McCall
Welch, and Roland Dwight Welch; special friends, Grant Montgomery,

Lee and Wanda Wright; nieces and nephews; special Doctors and Nurses

 who took care of him at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
    Funeral services will be Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. from
the Petitt Chapel of Coffman Funeral Home with Father Lee Humphries,
Father King Oehmeg, and Rev. David Romine officiating. Interment will
follow in West Hill Cemetery.
    Pallbearers will be Martin Lee Sweatman, Gary Dean Sweatman,

Grant Andrew Montgomery, Hunter Clark, Sammy Tapp, Greg Clark,

and Leroy Bud Sweatman. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members

 of the Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church.

Mrs. Rose Weems Chevremont, 84 formerly of Summerville passed away on Thursday in the Chatsworth Health Care Center….born in Summerville on November 1st , 1929 to the late Paul Bryant Weems and the late Maude O'Donnell Weems, She was an educator ….she was preceded in death by her husband Guillermo Chevermont and her Children Juan Antonio Chevremont, Cecilia Chevremont and Paulette Chevremont……..She is survived by her daughter Rosita McCamy, Granddaughter Jessica Rich and her husband Sammy Rich of Rome, great grandson Aiden Rich and Noel Rich of Rome, Grandson Patrick McCamy and his wife Jady McCamy of Chatsworth, great grand children Riley McCamy and Sarabeth McCamy of Chatsworth…She also acted as surrogate mother to Lester Miranda of Atlanta…..

Mrs. Pauline Estelle Carroll Rampley, age 96, of Trion, Georgia, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Oxford, Alabama following an extended illness.

Mrs. Rampley was born in Geraldine, Alabama on February 7, 1918. She was a member of the Trion First Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Best Manufacturing. Mrs. Rampley was preceded in death by her husband, Lumas E. “Bud” Rampley, and a daughter, Regina Carol Rampley Gober, and seven brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Rampley is survived by her son-in-law, William Don Gober of Oxford, Alabama; grandson, Nathan Eugene Gober of Oxford, AL; granddaughter, Melissa Carol Gober of Auburn, AL; and nephew, John “Binky” Dawson. 

Funeral Services for Mrs. Rampley will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Dr. Floyd Roebuck officiating. Private Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Rampley will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.

 Mr. Arthur “Andrew” Watkins, age 59, of Summerville, GA, died Saturday, October 11, 2014, at his residence.

Mr. Watkins was born April 9, 1955, in Menlo, GA, son of the late Betty Miller and Arthur Watkins. He previously worked at Best Manufacturing and Century Glove.

Mr. Watkins is survived by his wife, Barbara Thomas Watkins; a sister, Carolyn Ruth Autry; brothers, Ronnie Watkins and Billy Ray Watkins; and a special nephew, Doyle Thomas and several other nieces and nephews  also survive Mr. Arthur “Andrew” Watkins.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday October 17,  2014  in Macedonia Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Rutledge officiating.  Active pallbearers will be Bryant Tidmore, Jeff Hill, Andy Tidmore, Doyle Thomas, Scott Mitchell, and David Pendergraft.

Mr. Watkins will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
