Boyles Obit

MR. REGINALD RICHARD (REG) BOYLES, age 77, of Garden Lakes Blvd.-Rome, Georgia passed away Friday in a Rome hospital. A native of Trion, Georgia He was born to the late Homer Lonnie and Jessie Williams Boyles on March 8, 1932. Mr. Boyles was a Veteran of Korea serving in the U.S. Air Force, was a retired accountant for General Electric, and a member of Horse Leg Creek Golf Club. He was preceded in death by sister-Katie Boyles Ashe and nephew-Richard Watson.

Surviving are wife-Marie Smith Boyles; sister-Ruth McKenzie of Trion; nieces and nephews-Susan Ashe Burch, McDonough; Pat Evans, Summerville; Mike Ashe, Newnan; Janice Marucci, Jonesboro; Nancy, Jeff, Brian, & Elaine Ashe, Forest Park; Richard Ashe, Locus Grove, GA.

A Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon from 12:00 until 2:00 P.M. at Earle Rainwater Funeral Home in Summerville. In lieu of flowers Family suggest contributions to American Heart Association or Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Mr. Douglas Wayne Hines, age 54, of Trion, GA, passed away Friday May 8, 2009, at his residence. Mr Hines was born Oct. 9, 1954, in Trion, GA, the son of the late Jesse and Maudie Davis Hines.

Survivors include his Brother, Robert Howard Hines, Sisters, Gaynell Thorton, Carolyn Allen, Shirley Logan, Nieces and Nephews, Angie Logan, Linda Lee, Kerry Logan, Mary McClellan, Robert Lee Hines, Jimmy Lee Hines.

Funeral service will be held 6:00 p.m. Sunday May 9, 2009 from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop V.T. Hardin officiating with interment in the AMI Cemetery. Mrs. Martha Elaine Wooten, age 67, of Summerville, GA died Friday, May 8, 2009 at Floyd Medical Center. Mrs. Wooten was born May 30, 1941 in Cherokee County, AL, the daughter of the late Harold Wesley and Esther Mae Bowman Reynolds. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Wooten was retired from Best Manufacturing and she was a member of Best Silver Club. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry L. Reynolds.Survivors include her husband, Buddy Wooten; children, Terree Packer, Summerville, GA and Tony & Charlotte Wooten, Gaylesville, AL; sister, Carolyn and Kelly Tanner, Menlo, GA; grandchildren, Shane Miller, Summerville, GA, Shellie and Trey Dixon, Albertville, AL; step grandchildren, Tracy & Michelle Mitchell, Darrell & Melissa Mitchell, Gaylesville, AL; and several Nieces and Nephews. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p. m. Mrs. Rose "Rosebud" Hutchins Kennedy, age 90, of Englewood, FL died Wednesday, May 6, 2009. Mrs. Kennedy was born August 25, 1919 in Summerville, GA, the daughter of the late Charles Wilmont Hutchins and Alice Lowe Hamby Hutchins. She was a homemaker and was Co-ownerof Oakgrove M. H. P until she retired in 1995 after 40 years. Mrs. Kennedy was a charter member of B. P. O. Does & Unity White Shrine of Jerusalem #19. She was also a member of Rebecca Lodge and the Englewood Community Club. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Abe C. Kennedy, Jr.; sister, Dixie Mae Clayton; brothers, J. C. Hutchins and Tom Hill Hutchins. Mrs. Kennedy is survived by her husband, Abe C. Mrs. Ruby Stephens Obit

Mrs. Ruby L. Stephens, age 80, of Trion, GA died Thursday, May 7, 2009 at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Stephens was born November 29, 1928 in Bartow County, GA, the daughter of the late Robert Henry and Ruby Rosalee Hardin Hunter. She was a member of Life Gate Church and was retired from Mohawk Industries. Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Grover Stephens; and a sister, Barbara McClung.  Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Syble and Greg Hall, Trion, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Allan and Lori Smith, Taylorsville, GA; 7 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren; and1 Great-great Grandchild. According to Mrs. Stephens wishes, she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Buford Robert Harris, age 78, of Trion, GA died Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at his residence.  Mr. Harris was born May 10, 1930 in Chattooga County, GA, the son of the late Burt Harris and Mary Helton Harris. He attended the Solid Rock Baptist Church. He was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills, a member of the Quarter Century Club, a member of the American Legion Post 0129, and was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Harris; sisters, Katherine Evans and Idell Ray; brothers, Houston Harris, Jess Harris, Joe Harris. Surviving are his sons & daughters-in-law, Donald and Connie Harris, Trion, Ga, Ronald and Lolita Harris, San Antonio, TX; sister, Dot Crowe, Summerville, GA; grandsons, Chris Harris, James Harris, and Cliff Harris; granddaughter, Michelle Brown; 9 Great Grandchildren; a number of Nieces and Nephews; a very special friend, Peggy Yarbrough and Family.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stancil Obit

Mr. Robert Lee Stancil, age 72, of Summerville, passed away Friday, May 1, 2009 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Stancil was born in Cherokee County, Alabama on July 18, 1936, son of Flora Beatrice Bradley Stancil and the late Chester Lee Stancil. He was a member of the Berryton Church of God where he played the guitar during worship services, and prior to retirement was employed with ANA Steel as a truck driver. Mr. Stancil liked to garden and to work outdoors. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Lee Stancil, brothers, Ted Stancil, Hugh Don Stancil, Ralph Stancil, Billy Glenn Stancil, James Stancil; and a sister, Helen Stancil.

Mr. Stancil is survived by his wife, Linda Stancil of Summerville; Sons and Daughters-in-law, Michael and Cathy Stancil of Summerville, Timothy and Jennifer Stancil of Dallas, Ricky and Patsy Peek of Trion; Daughters and Sons-in-law, Jan and Randy Prince, and Lynn and Steve Evans of Summerville; grandchildren, Michael Lee Stancil, William Stancil, Olivia Stancil, Darla Minard, Selena Crider, Janna Evans, Eric Evans, Kylee Stancil, Logan Parvin, Bailey Parvin, Kaycie Parvin and David Peek; Great Grandchildren, Curtis Crider, Honey Crider, Charleigh Crider, Darrah Stancil, Brylie Stancil, Mason Stancil, Emma Bonanno, Colby Evans and Brett Peek; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Billy Bob Kilgore, age 66 of Peach Street, Trion, GA, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2009, at his residence.  Mr. Kilgore was born July 21, 1942 in Bartow County Georgia.  He was retired from Mount Vernon Mills and was Baptist by faith. Mr. Kilgore was preceded in death by his father and mother, Woodrow and Nellie Bell Hunter Kilgore.  Mr. Kilgore is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Scott Sullins and Paulette and David Meadows of Trion, GA; son, Benjamin Kilgore of Trion, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Joann and Ray Eller of Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jessie and Charlotte Kilgore of Rome, GA; Danny and Rachael Kilgore of Trion, GA; brothers, C.L. Kilgore of Cartersville, GA and Thomas Kilgore of Trion, GA; grandchildren, Shannon Trammell, Halley Sullins, Brandon Trammell and Megan Sullins; great-grandchild, Lexie Trammell. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 3, 2009, at 2:00pm from the chapel of the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with Rev.
