Cedar Bluff, Alabama Police say a man injured in a four wheeler accident Saturday morning didn’t actually call to report his injuries until late that afternoon.

The wreck occurred at around 4:00am, in a wooded area near Cornwall Furnace, after the victim, who has not yet been identified, took a friends four wheeler on a joy ride – and then crashed into a tree.

The man then somehow found his way home and apparently thought he would ‘sleep off’ his injuries; however when awoke at around noon in excruciating pain and with noticeable injuries to his face, he called 9-1-1 requesting an ambulance.

According to reports the man was treated for serious lacerations and possible broken ribs.
