A Cedartown man is facing drug charges after a traffic stop by Chattooga County Sheriff's Deputies Monday.

 

According to the report, deputies stopped a black Honda Accord on Highway 114 at the entrance to Ingles because the vehicle's drive-out tag had expired. 

 

According to the report while Deputy Caine Railey was speaking to Norman Scott Bebout, Bebout allegedly pulled out a black 9mm revolver from the driver side door panel and held it up. Railey reportedly immediately grabbed the weapon and placed it on the hood of the vehicle. After gaining consent to search Bebout and his vehicle, Railey apparently came acoss a myriad of items. Found on Bebout, according to the report was: a clear plastic bag with a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine and suspected Viagra. Inside the vehicle Railey reportedly found: 2 pill containers with suspected marijuana and a pipe in the console; a small pipe with a glass bubble on one end with suspected methamphetamine residue; a container with 15 found light green pills believed to Clonazepam. The 9mm semi-automatic pistol came back not stolen. It had five rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber.
