Last week, a Cherokee County, Alabama woman was arrested in Centre following a traffic stop and was arrested on drug charges.
According to Centre Police, Janice Henson of Centre was stopped for a driving violation when an officer noticed the odor of marijuana from her vehicle and a search was conducted. Officers found 78 grams of methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia and four marijuana buds.
Henson was arrested on charges of Trafficking Methamphetamine and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in addition to Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
