The Chattooga County Chamber of Commerce is working with the Appalachian Gateway Communities Initiative on a “branding project” to attract tourism to Chattooga County. The new “Angel Country” slogan will be unveiled with signage.  The project is a joint initiative between the Chamber, Paradise Garden Foundation, US Forestry Service, Summerville Main Street and the Friends of Sloppy Floyd State Park.

A project overview meeting about the branding project will be held at the Chamber Luncheon that has been rescheduled to be held at the Chattooga County Civic Center on January 23rd at noon and signage will be unveiled at a ribbon cutting on Highway 27 at the county line at Little Sand Mountain on Friday, January 19th at 3 PM.
