Chattooga County added three more COVID-19 deaths over the past week, according to the latest numbers from the Georgia Department of Public Health.

The death toll from the coronavirus in Chattooga County was 85 as of Tuesday of this week.  Also, Walker County recorded their 100th death from COVID over the past week.

As of September 20, there were 53 new cases of COVID-19 being reported in Chattooga County.

The Chattooga County Health Department continues to offer free COVID-19 vaccines and encourages unvaccinated residents to get vaccinated as the best defense against the coronavirus.
