The Chattooga Board of Education met this week for their October meeting.  Board members discussed the replacement of Sam Ballard, who passed away after a battle with cancer last month. 

Chattooga County School Superintendent Jared Hosmer told WZQZ News on Friday that applications for the position are now being accepted by e-mail or letter.  Interested applicants should state why they are interested in the position and give the Superintendent their physical address so that he can verify their residency.  The potential applicant must live in the Seat 3 (Menlo) District.

Hosmer said that he will accept applications through November 13th and will present the board with a list of qualified applicants on November 13th.

The Board could potentially appoint a new member at their December 17th meeting.  \
