At this week’s Chattooga County Board of Education meeting, the current members discussed the replacement of Dr. Julia Houston who resigned from the board last month.

The board will be selecting from applicants who express a desire to serve on the board.  All applicants that wish to be considered must live in the Lyerly District.  To submit an application, prospective candidates should e-mail Chattooga County School Superintendent Jared Hosmer by July 9, 2021.  Supt. Hosmer will make sure the candidates qualify and then submit the list to the Board of Education at their July meeting.

The board is expected to name a replacement for the seat at their August meeting.
