Both the Chattooga Indian Boys and Girls basketball teams lost their region championship games last night. The Indians lost to Model and the Lady Indians were defeated by Fannin County.
The lady Indians played first at 7 p.m. Thursday night and hosted opponents Fannin County. Fannin scored 68 to the Lady Indians 39 to come out as Region Champs.
The Indians were beat by Model in a nail-biter Thursday evening. The final score was 55-54 with the Indians making a big comeback in the 4th after being down by 10 points in the 3rd quarter.
Both the Indians and Lady Indians will host the first round of the State Playoffs next week at the Tribe Pride Arena. The game dates and times have not yet been posted.
