The Chattooga County Chamber of Commerce has selected Ye Olde Trade Day Grounds as the Member of the Month for August 2021.

Trade Day was started in 1976 by Jane Schlachter. Larry came on the scene in 1983, and the two have been working diligently to build Trade Day as THE place to be on Tuesdays and Saturdays. They moved the vendor area from the front lot to across the train tracks two years ago to the day. We caught them celebrating the birthday. Check out Jane’s balloon! They added a pavilion, concession stand and restrooms, and now use the front lot for parking.

Trade Day attracts visitors and locals alike. It is one of the top 4 attractions in Chattooga County. You can spot the ad above in the August issue of Georgia Magazine. It is part of the Chamber’s marketing plan for the Explore Georgia grant they received this summer. We are running an ad on Facebook leading up to the World’s Longest Yard Sale slated for next weekend.
