Floyd Medical Center has turned the first floor of the parking deck at the hospital into an emergency field hospital in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.  On Wednesday, Floyd Medical Center recognized the contributions of a Chattooga County company for their services in getting the emergency field hospital ready to go.

According to Floyd Medical Center, “Parker FiberNet stepped up to get the project done in record time. Parker has continuously proven both its ability and desire to be a great community partner to make good things happen in Rome. They provided temporary HVAC units, electrical infrastructure, lighting and exterior and interior framing for the field hospital.”

Floyd Medical Center continued, “Hopefully, Floyd won’t need to use it, but we are grateful to those Heroes Behind the Mask at Parker FiberNet for making sure we stand ready to give the community the care it deserves. “
