After a year off because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chattooga County Agricultural Fair is making a comeback in 2021.

The fair, which will take place August 26th – 29th at the Chattooga County Agricultural Center and Summerville Middle School, will feature entertainment along with the traditional midway fair rides and multiple livestock shows.   The Summerville City Council approved a $5,000 donation to the Chattooga County Fair for 2021.

Over the years, the City of Summerville has consistently contributed to the county fair and the vote to award the money was unanimous by the Summerville City Council.

Chattooga County Agricultural Fair Council President Lyn Hall told WZQZ News that plans are moving at a fast pace as the fair approaches.  Hall said that the council is confident that the public will be eager to attend the fair, especially after over a year of very few community events taking place due to the pandemic.
