Area trick-or-treating will officially be held on Halloween night in Trion and downtown Summerville.

The Annual Summerville-Trion Optimist Club Halloween Walk is Oct 31 in downtown Summerville. The walk is in between Subway, on Commerce Street, and the AM1180 Studio, on the corner of First Avenue and Commerce Street. The walk is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and walkers can start anywhere they like along the route.

The Summerville Fire and Police department's Haunted House will be open Halloween night starting at 6 PM. The Haunted House is at the Summerville Recreation Department on Highway 100.
