Chattooga County’s librarian with the county library system is retiring after twenty-seven years.

Susan Stephens came to the Chattooga County Library as the children’s librarian and then became the director.  She has been serving as director for the past thirteen years.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a traditional retirement reception will not be held.  Instead, the Chattooga County Library would like to honor Stephens by asking the community to make donations towards the purchase of more books for the library.

The library says if you are not able to donate, you can send cards or letters to Susan Stephens.

To send donations, or well-wishes, you can mail them to:

Chattooga County Library

360 Farrar Drive

Summerville, Georgia 30747.

Donations should be marked “In honor of Susan Stephens”.
