Earlier this week, Chattooga County Commissioner Blake Elsberry said that Chattooga County Public Works was very short staffed, due to four of the 9 employees testing positive for COVID-19.  On Thursday morning, the commissioner said that public works would be closed Thursday & Friday for deep cleaning because of the amount of sickness at the department.  You can see a press release from the commissioner below:
