The Chattooga County School System announced their Teacher of the Year this week.  This year’s honor goes to Summerville Middle School’s FFA teacher, Emily Green.

According to Summerville Middle School, “We can think of no teacher more worthy to represent educators than Mrs. Green. She works enthusiastically to engage students in community-based learning, project-based initiatives, and authentic tasks that empower them to understand the needs of the community and to take action. Under her guidance, our FFA chapter and its officers have excelled. We are grateful for all she does for and with our students.”
