Chattooga County Tax Commissioner Joy Hampton announced on Monday that property tax bills are ready. 

Hampton said, “2022 property tax bills are active and available to view/pay in my office and online.  Those should be in mailboxes by the end of September.   Property owners can break the bill up into payments beginning now if they wish.  The due date for 2022 property taxes is December 1, 2022.”

The tax commissioner added that her office is now applying payments that have been made throughout the year for “pre-payment” accounts, and those bills will be mailed from her office this week.
