Residents of Chattooga County will have two vital opportunities to contribute to the local blood supply this August, as Blood Assurance schedules a pair of blood drives in Trion and Summerville. These events are crucial for ensuring a robust inventory of blood for area hospitals and patients in need.

First Drive in Trion: Monday, August 4th

The first blood drive will be held on Monday, August 4th, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Freestanding Chattooga Emergency Department, located at 13583 Highway 27, Trion, GA 30753. This event is a collaborative effort between Atrium Health Floyd, the Chattooga Freestanding Emergency Department, and Blood Assurance.

Second Drive in Summerville: Friday, August 22, 2025

Looking ahead, a second blood donation opportunity is scheduled for Friday, August 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This drive will take place at the Chattooga County EMA / 911 facility on 170 Farrar Drive in Summerville. Blood Assurance is teaming up with Chattooga County EMA / 911 for this future event.

To encourage participation in both drives, Blood Assurance is offering a $20 eGift card to all donors who successfully contribute.
