A Chattooga County woman, Mandy Christine Lee, 52, was arrested early Monday morning after repeatedly calling 911 to report harassment and physical assault by “Advent satellites,” according to a report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office. Lee faces charges of obstruction of officers and unlawful conduct during a 911 call.

Deputies Gene Whitworth and Garmany were dispatched to 845 Ballenger Rd at approximately 3:31 AM on September 8, 2025, following a complainant’s report of “Advent satellites harassing and threatening her.” Upon arrival, deputies met with Ms. Lee, who reiterated her claims that satellites were harassing, threatening, and physically assaulting her.

When Deputy Whitworth asked if she had mental health issues, Lee reportedly responded loudly, “do you!” The deputy then advised Lee that she had made an excessive number of calls “for non-sense that could never happen” and informed her she was under arrest for interfering with 911 services.

The police report states that as Deputy Whitworth moved to arrest her, Lee began backing up and screaming. Deputies Whitworth and Garmany reportedly had to physically place Lee against the fender of the camper she was staying in to secure her in handcuffs. She continued to act irate and talk “non-sense about what these satellites were doing to her” during her transport to the Chattooga County Jail.

Following her arrest, Deputy Whitworth compiled a list of Lee’s 911 calls over the past few months, revealing a pattern of alleged misuse:

• September 8, 2025, 03:28 AM: Lee called 911 claiming harassment and threats by Advent Satellites, an event the deputy deemed impossible.
• August 13, 2025, 01:46 AM: Lee called 911 stating she was being threatened but refused to meet an officer at the end of her road. She allegedly told dispatch she was “glad they said that so she will have it recorded for court,” disrupting 911 service and harassing a communication officer.
• August 14, 2025, 10:33 PM: Lee called 911 regarding terroristic threats and assault, then stated, “that’s not 911, it’s a bullshit” before hanging up.
• August 14, 2025, 10:34 PM: One minute later, Lee called 911 again, stating “another bullshit call, to make another bullshit report” and hung up, further disrupting service and using vulgar language.
• July 19, 2025, 09:16 AM: Lee called 911 claiming satellites were harassing, assaulting, cutting, poisoning, and sexually assaulting her, and saying “disgusting things.” Deputies noted these events would be impossible for satellites to perform, constituting a false report and disrupting 911 service.

The report noted that during her arrest at 4:06 AM on September 8, 2025, Lee resisted by backing up and not complying with orders to place her hands behind her back, leading officers to use physical force to handcuff her. She was screaming and became combative during the process. The entire arrest was captured on the officers’ body-worn cameras.

Mandy Christine Lee was transported to the Chattooga County Jail without further incident after being secured in the patrol vehicle.
