Despite the inclement weather that included winds of up to 25 miles per hour, the Chattooga Indians came out victorious last night over Dade County in a game that secured the Indians a #2 Seed in playoff action.
Two second-half touch down runs by Rashad Ramsey gave the Indians the points they needed to defeat the Wolverines by a score of 20-14. Chattooga scored the first points of the game in the second quarter taking them into half-time with a 7-0 lead.
The third quarter ended with a 14-14 tie between the Indians and the Wolverines. In the fourth quarter Rashad Ramsey scored for Chattooga and put the Indians in the lead for the remainder of the game.
The victory assured the Indians of the No. 2 seed from 7-AA North as they head into next week’s “region playoffs.” Chattooga will host Rockmart, with the winner earning a berth in the Class AA playoffs.
