The Chattooga County Democratic Party met on Saturday at Pop’s in Summerville.  Local Democratic Party Chairman Ricky Hughes told party members that this year’s Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner would be held sometime at the end of summer or early fall.  Orginally the annual dinner was scheduled for May 21, but the State Democratic Party will be holding their meeting on that date.  Former President Jimmy Carter will be the keynote speaker for the State Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner.
