Per National Weather Service Peachtree City, Chattooga County could see 2 – 4 inches of snow starting tomorrow late morning to early afternoon. Temps will drop throughout the day possibly creating hazardous road conditions for travel. (if you do not have to travel please stay home).

We may also see downed trees from the weight of the snow and wind conditions. If there are power outages in Chattooga County we will set up a warming comfort station at Chattooga County High School if you are without heat. If you are in need of the facility we ask that you call 911 before going to make sure we have the building open to the public, we will have the facility on stand by until needed. Once we have opened the warming station we will post it out through the media. Entrance to the warming center will be through the front door of the school. If you need to use the warming center you will need to bring food, personal items and blankets for you family. You will be asked to sign in and out as you come and go to get food or run errands.

We will keep road updates and warming center information posted to the Chattooga 911 Facebook Page as well as out to the local media. Again, if you need to access the warming center please call 911 first if we have not announced that the center is open.
