
The Chattooga County Extension Office is having a series of food preservation workshops.
The first workshop on water bath canning was held on Wednesday at the Chattooga County Ag Building. Attendees learned about the water bath method of food preservation and got to make strawberry jam. The next workshop is coming up on June 2nd and will also be featuring information on water bath canning and participants will be making tomato salsa.
Other workshops held from now until October will feature topics covering pressure canning and making pickled relish and apple butter.
Each class is $20 and space is limited.
