The 2022 Chattooga County Agricultural Fair was, by all accounts, a success this year.  The Chattooga County Fair Council issued the following statement on Wednesday:

The Chattooga County Agricultural Fair Council feels that we had an extremely successful fair. The
Council would like say “Thank You” to all of the Sponsors, Vendors and Volunteers that support the
Chattooga County Agricultural Fair. The Council would also like to recognize the hard work and
dedication of numerous other individuals and entities that work long hours before and during the
fair. Without the support of our Community this event would not be possible.

Total gate attendance for the 2022 Chattooga County Agricultural Fair was 10,174. This attendance
number significantly increased compared to 6,523 in 2021. The Fair Council feels this increase in
attendance of 3,651 is due to people feeling more comfortable attending public events, the nice
weather over the weekend, and the great musical entertainment. On Sunday, the fair had a record
attendance number of 2,674 which is the largest Sunday attendance since it was reintroduced in 2014.
This attendance increase was mostly due to the large crowd that came to hear nationally-known gospel
singer Jason Crabb. The Livestock Show entries also continue to grow year over year which also
contributes to the increase in daily attendance.

The carnival and rides were once again provided by Peachtree Rides. Peachtree Rides also showed a
29% increase in armband and individual ride ticket sales compared to 2021. The dates for the 2023
Chattooga County Agricultural Fair will be August 24-27th. We look forward to seeing everyone again
next year.
