The holiday spirit is alive and well at Chattooga Family Connection, as the organization gears up once again to create Christmas stockings for children in the area. Director Maisha Ludy is reaching out to the community, announcing that there are still stockings available for donations, and inviting everyone to get involved in this heartwarming initiative.
Last year, thanks to the generosity of local residents, the organization successfully distributed over 300 stockings to schools in the area. “We couldn’t have done it without all your help!” Ludy expressed, emphasizing the importance of community support in making the holiday season special for children in need. Those interested in participating in the “Stuff a Stocking” event have multiple options. Ludy encourages individuals to either request a stocking to fill themselves or to collect items for the organization to fill. Additionally, monetary donations are welcomed and greatly appreciated. Ideas for stocking stuffers are abundant, including items such as fidget toys, chapstick, toy cars, notebooks, action figures, dinosaurs, dolls, small balls, cups, hair accessories, socks, hats, cologne, perfumes, coloring books, crayons, and even gift cards.
“We’ve also had some larger items in the past that didn’t fit in stockings, and that’s perfectly fine. Those items will be wrapped and distributed as well,” Ludy added.
If you’re looking to spread some joy this holiday season and help make a difference for local children, reach out to Maisha Ludy at Chattooga Family Connection to participate.
