Chattooga County families and businesses have another chance to spread holiday cheer through Chattooga Family Connection’s 5th Annual “Stuff a Stocking” event, now officially underway.
Director Maisha Ludy says the program helps provide a little extra support for students in both the Trion City and Chattooga County school systems—serving kids from Early Head Start all the way through 12th grade. Ludy says community support is already strong, with 100 stockings claimed so far, but there’s still time for more people to get involved.
Participants can fill a stocking using suggested items—like small toys, art supplies, socks, toiletries, and gift cards—or make a donation to help the effort reach even more students.
A key deadline is coming up: all filled stockings must be returned no later than December 12, 2025, to make sure they’re delivered to students before Christmas break.
