Last Friday, the Georgia Department of Public Health reported that there were an additional 99 deaths from COVID-19 – bringing the statewide total up to 28,560.  There was one additional death reported in Chattooga County, according to public health officials.

The latest numbers, which were released on Friday afternoon, show that there were 2,899 additional cases reported which brings the total to over 1.8 million cases in Georgia.  Hospitalizations from Thursday to Friday of last week were up by 209.

Chattooga County has seen 5,184 total COVID-19 cases with 104 deaths – that’s up one from the previous report.
