The Chattooga County Historical Society says that they have sold out of the first-round of Chattooga County Historical & Scenic Places Ornaments.
This year, The Riegeldale Tavern is being featured in the annual series highlighting Chattooga County historical and scenic places.
The first year the Historical Society commemorated the 100th birthday of the depot. The second year they featured the 111-year-old Chattooga County Courthouse.
The Tavern, built in 1936, has been the scene of many dinners, weddings and reunions for generations of Chattoogans.
The Historical Society says that more of this year’s ornaments are on order and should arrive sometime this week. The ornaments are being sold at the city hall in Summerville and Sweet Pea’s at the Tavern.
They are also available online at www.chattoogahistory.org , then click on Store.
