The Chattooga Indians fought hard in last nights game against Rockmart but in the end they came up short in the third overtime in a game heard here on AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio.  The game was the last hope for any post season play for the Chattooga Indians.

With 10 minutes left in the first quarter the Chattooga Indians Senorise Perry scored a touchdown to put the Indians in the lead, then Rockmart scored to tie it up.  Perry came back again for the Indians and scored again with a 66 yard touchdown run with 2 minutes left to go and put Chattooga back on top.

Chattooga added two field goals in the second quarter to go up by two touchdowns over Rockmart heading into halftime.

Tied at the end of four after a Rockmart fourth quarter score, the Indians and Jackets head into overtime.

The Jackets hit the first touchdown with Rockmart scoring from 1-yard out.

Indians struck back on a fourth and one play and put it in to tie it back up heading into a second overtime. Rockmart’s Heywood pulled out a long yardage last stand to score a touchdown and tie it up heading into the third overtime.

The Jackets held off the Indians after scoring a final touchdown to win in the third overtime 40-34.
