On Tuesday night of last week, the Model Blue Devils handed the Chattooga Indians a stinging defeat in rare mid-week high school football action.  While the Indians didn’t win the final game of their regular season – they are headed for the playoffs.

The 49-7 blowout secured the Model Blue Devil’s a spot in post season play, but they still had to face off with Gordon Central on Saturday to determine if they would be fourth seed or third seed in playoff action.  Also, Model’s game against Gordon Central yesterday determined the Chattooga Indian’s future for playoff action.

Gordon Central fell to the Blue Devils yesterday, which means the Chattooga Indians will enter the playoffs as fourth seed.

WZQZ’s Barry Peppers says that the Chattooga Indians will play South Atlanta in the first-round of playoff action.  Right now, we don’t know for sure when that game will be, but Peppers says it will likely by Friday, November 29th at 7:30 PM.  If so, no fans or bands will be at the game; just school officials and the media.

No matter when the Indians play next, you can count on WZQZ to bring you the Chattooga Indians on 99.1 FM WZQZ.  Stay tuned and we will keep you updated.
