A Chattooga County man was arrested after a dispute over a poker game.

Summerville Police Officers responded to a 7th St. address on December 8th in regards to a physical altercation. Arriving at the residence, Officers spoke with Angela Horner who was standing outside the residence holding several broken necklaces. Ms. Horner stated that she and a man inside the residence, Mr. Rickey Powell had gotten into an argument over a poker game and over some money Mr. Powell owed her. Powell had then grabbed Ms. Horner and pushed her out of the residence.

Officers entered the residence and spoke with witness, Audrey Wooten who initially wouldn’t say if Mr. Powell had indeed pushed Ms. Horner despite the evidence of an altercation in the home. Ms. Wooten finally admitted that Mr. Powell had pushed Ms. Horner out of the home. During this time Mr. Powell was visibly intoxicated and causing quite a disturbance. Mr. Powell was arrested and transported to the Chattooga County jail.
