Three other people have voiced their intentions to run in the Georgia Senate District 52 race. Hayden Collins, of Cartersville, and Floyd County Republicans David Doss and Chuck Hufstetler have previously tossed their hats into the ring.
The text of his announcement:
Dear Friends of the 52nd State Senate District,
My intentions for the State Senate Race will be made known on Sunday, May 13th. In the many conversations I have had throughout the district with friends and business owners, I am encouraged to seek the best outcome in this race with my efforts and involvement. I believe that we need independent conservative leadership that will support the Life of the Unborn, the Simple Small Business Owner, the recruitment of Innovative Manufacturing to ease the pain of the jobless, Support the Technical Colleges and Universities to continue World Class Training and Education, Balanced Budgets, Transportation Initiatives such as the I-75 Connector and other Major road projects needed for our District such as Improved/Additional Interchanges, Widening Highways 140 and 101; Increase Local Control of Education and continued support of fully funded charter school programs as well as a fight to end state and federal mandates that strangle our local finances.
We need a leader. We want as a community to have a voice that represents our District, not political agendas. Playing politics with our children's futures, our Retirements, and our paychecks is wreckless. We must not only be good stewards of the public trust, but we must be selfless in our endeavors for the common good of our communities.
This Race is Only the Beginning. I believe in a better world.
