The Chattooga High School Auditorium is set to sparkle this Saturday as The Community Resource Center of Chattooga hosts its highly anticipated inaugural “Dancing With Our Local Stars-Chattooga Style” event. With just a few tickets remaining, the community is urged to secure their spots for an evening of entertainment benefiting a vital local cause.

The event promises a unique blend of local talent, pairing community members with skilled dancers to showcase a spectrum of moves, from seasoned performers to those who have recently been learning the ropes. Angela Hutchins, Executive Director of the Community Resource Center, expressed confidence in the event’s success, hinting at “a few surprises” for attendees.

This year’s local participants include Blake and Lauren Elsberry, Sean and Kayla Leigh Willingham, Ethan Hutchins, Rebecca Wood, John Turner, Lori Brady, Bill Champion, and Jennifer Rutledge. These teams have been diligently rehearsing one to two times a week in preparation for their moment in the spotlight.

The success of “Dancing With Our Stars – Chattooga Style” wouldn’t be possible without the tireless efforts of skilled volunteer dance instructors who have trained the local participants. These talented mentors include Jessica Dover, Kelsie Ray Ellis, Undra Finley, Savannah Greene, Sarah Young, Alitea Wiggins, Deandra Neal, and Tasha Napp.

Teams will vie for the coveted Judge’s Choice Award, decided by a distinguished panel of local judges: Kathy Baird, Claudia Snyder, Jim Ferguson, and Jeff Sherwin. This award will be based on skill, creativity, and overall entertainment value. Additionally, the audience will have the unique opportunity to vote for their favorite team for the People’s Choice Award, which will be determined by donations. This offers a chance to support a favorite team while contributing to a good cause.

Guiding the evening’s festivities will be emcees WZQZ’s Bonnie Fletcher along with Levi Burdick, ensuring a lively and engaging experience for everyone.

For those opting for the full experience, the VIP Experience dinner begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the main show at 7 p.m. Tickets for “Dancing With Our Stars” are available exclusively in advance through The Community Resource Center’s Facebook page and website. General admission tickets, without dinner, are priced starting at $50.
