A case of Identity Theft was recently reported to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.

The complainant said that she had attempted to file her taxes, however they were rejected because someone else used her social security number in 2008 on a first-time homebuyers program application.

A report was taken with information being documented for future reference.
