Chattooga County Board of Education member Sam Ballard passed away on Sunday afternoon.  The Menlo Republican had served on the Board of Education since 2018.  Mr. Ballard, a local building contractor, passed away due to complications with cancer.  Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
