The Chattooga Board of Education is looking for a new maintenance and facilities director after the resignation of Larry Wilson.
Wilson has only been in the position since January of this year. He was hired after the resignation of longtime director Johnny Worsham. Worsham left the Chattooga County school system for a position with the Floyd County Board of Education.
According to the minutes from the board meeting last Thursday, Wilson resigned from the position citing personal reasons.
Chattooga County School Supt. Jared Hosmer says that the system has promoted the lead maintenance employee to the position of facilities director. Jason Whitfield will be taking over the position immediately.
