
The Chattooga County School System released their weekly COVID-19 report on Friday. According to the report, there are four positive COVID-19 cases at Chattooga High School; one positive case at Lyerly Elementary School; one positive case at Menlo Elementary School and two positive cases at Summerville Middle School. Chattooga County School Superintendent Jared Hosmer announced on Friday afternoon that the entire sixth grade class at Summerville Middle School will do distance learning starting this Tuesday. That after the entire sixth grade staff at Summerville Middle School were exposed to a positive case of COVID-19. Distance learning will only be for the sixth grade class at Summerville Middle School and will not affect the seventh or eighth grades or any other schools in the Chattooga County School system.
