From Chattooga School Supt. Michelle Helie:

Chattooga County Schools will have a Learn From Home Day on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Tonight and early tomorrow morning, the temperatures are forecasted to be in or around single digits, which could pose risks for our students who have to stand outside at the bus stop. While this decision may inconvenience families, we hope you understand that student and staff safety is our top priority.
Currently, indoor extracurricular activities for tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday, January 22, 2025, will continue as planned.
We will continue to work with the Local Emergency Management team to monitor the weather forecast and provide updates as needed about Thursday, January 23, 2025, schedule.
If you have questions, please email or use the REMIND communication platform to contact your child’s teacher or principal.
Please stay warm and safe during this time.
