Chattooga County School Superintendent Jared Hosmer says that the decision has been made to have Chattooga County Schools on Distance Learning for the week before Christmas break. Hosmer said, “I spoke with Dr. Voccio this morning and he advised that having “Distance Learning Days” next week 12/14/2020 through 12/16/2020 was a good idea considering all the current factors around COVID in our community. We do not currently have a widespread outbreak in the system, but he suggested that a break from being around everyone would be a good idea.” Dr. Voccio is the director for the Northwest Georgia Department of Health.
