In the latest report from the Georgia Department of Public Health, Chattooga County saw a slight decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases in the county.  The numbers are released on Wednesday of each week.  There were 12 new COVID-19 cases reported; that is down from 14 cases the previous week.  Statewide, 102 people died from COVID, up from 99 the previous week. The number of new reported cases dropped to 6,132, down a third from 9,126 reported cases through January 11, 2023.
