A Milledgeville man will spend the next 30 years of his life behind prison walls after a jury found him guilty on multiple counts of child molestation in Baldwin County Superior Court on Thursday, thanks in part to testimony from a Chattooga County witness.

The Union-Recorder reports jurors deliberated about 45 minutes before returning a verdict of guilty on three counts of child molestation against Timothy Investor McClendon, according to Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit Assistant District Attorney Nancy Malcor. In addition to McClendon’s prison sentence, he also was ordered to serve 30 years on probation once he was released from serving his prison term and fined $3,000 for each count of child molestation.

Malcor, who prosecuted the case with the assistance of Assistant District Attorney Tammy Coffey, said she enjoys getting justice for any victim, but that it was even more gratifying when the victim.  District Attorney Malcor said, “We had victims travel down here to Milledgeville from Chattooga County to testify and present what happened to them,” Malcor told The Union-Recorder in a telephone interview. “We had three child victims in Chattooga County. We were able to present evidence about that case and that it involved three children.” Of those two, one of them testified against McClendon during his trial.
