Later this month, the Chattooga Young Farmers will host a meeting aimed at helping local cattle producers with custom vaccines for their herds from a leading and innovative company dealing with bovine health.
Cambridge Technologies can tailor herd-specific vaccines that are custom manufactured to address the unique needs of each veterinarian and their livestock. “Our goal is to identify emerging pathogens, prevent the diseases they may cause, and ultimately reduce dependence on antibiotics,” said James Buck, a representative of Cambridge Technologies who will be speaking at the meeting on February 20th at 7 PM. This commitment to proactive health management is particularly crucial in today’s agricultural landscape, where outbreaks can have devastating effects on livestock and farmer livelihoods.
To further educate the community about these advancements, the Chattooga Young Farmer Meeting is set to take place on February 20th at the Chattooga Ag Center. The meeting will focus on the use of autogenous vaccines in cattle production, with a particular emphasis on pink eye prevention. Attendees can look forward to a delicious BBQ dinner featuring slaw, baked beans, and dessert. Organizers say this is a fantastic opportunity for local farmers to learn about effective vaccination strategies and connect with experts in the field.
Those interested in attending the meeting are encouraged to RSVP by Tuesday, February 18th, to Lauren Jarrett, ensuring their place at this informative event that will be held at the Chattooga County Ag Building in Summerville.
