A Trion man was booked in to both the Floyd County and Walker County jails this past week. According to the Floyd County Jail docket, 47-year-old Paul Hix Elrod of a Marsh Avenue, Trion address, was charged with misdemeanor theft by shoplifting by the Rome Police Department on Wednesday. On Sunday he was charged with issuance of bad checks in Walker County. Others Chattooga Countians booked into the Walker County Jail in the past week were:

Kimberly Renee Green, Maplewood Drive, Summerville, issuance of bad checks; Charged Wednesday by the Walker County Sheriff's Office

Danny Ray Chambers, Shorty Shelton Road, Trion, operation of a vehicle with current place; DUI/ Alcohol or drugs; Possession of a controlled substance; Driving with license suspended or revoked, on Saturday, charged by the Georgia State Patrol.

Dorothy Roandolph Gregory, Tatum Gulf Road, Cloudland: DUI/Alcohol or drugs, and failure to yield for a stop or yield sign; on Sunday, arrested by the Georgia State Patrol.

Ernesto Miguel Sebastian, Second St., Trion, charged with a probation violation, last Friday by the Walker County Sheriff's Department.
