Not what you want to hear at Christmas time, but Chattooga County’s unemployment rate took a pretty sharp jump over the past month.

The monthly numbers for November 2010 show that Chattooga County is now back at 12% unemployment.  That is an increase of nine-tenths of a percentage point over the 11.1% October unemployment rate.

In the region, Whitfield County saw the biggest hit and now stands at over 13% unemployed.  Walker County has a rate of 10.4%.
